Anaheim Ducks forward Kyle Palmieri joined NHL Live to discuss the Ducks' Game 7 showdown against the Los Angeles Kings on Friday at Honda Center (9 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TSN, RDS).
After losing the first two games of their Western Conference Second Round series at home, the Ducks won the next three before falling 2-1 in Game 6 on Wednesday at Staples Center. The winner of Game 7 will play the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final.
"It's going to be huge for us," Palmieri said on playing Game 7 on home ice, where the Ducks were 29-8-4 this season. "Obviously we've played pretty well at home. We didn't start the series the way we wanted at home, but hopefully we'll finish it off the right way."
After facing each other five times in the regular season, the Ducks and Kings are playing one another for the first time in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All six games have generated a ton of excitement in southern California.
"Playing each other so much over the course of the last couple of seasons you kind of grow to know what to expect from each building and the fans," Palmieri said. "The fans have loved it and have had a great time watching it, and there's no better way to finish it off than a Game 7."
