OSHAWA, Ont. - Daniel Pachis fanned on the shot, but still scored the shootout winner as the Oshawa Generals defeated the Ottawa 67's 5-4.

The puck slipped off Pachis's stick on a deke, but it slipped slowly through the pads of 67's goalie Petr Mrazek, who made 48 saves prior to the shootout.

Captain Jeff Hayes and defenceman Tony DeHart each had a goal and an assist to lead the Generals (2-2-0-0), while Christian Thomas had a pair of assists.

Andy Andreoff opened the scoring for the Generals a minute into the game, and Boone Jenner scored the other on a power play in the third.

Cody Lindsay scored twice for the 67's (2-3-1-1), who came from behind to tie the game on four separate occasions.

Dalton Smith and Ryan Martindale, with 1:23 remaining in regulation, scored the other Ottawa goals.

Kevin Bailie made 25 saves for his first win of the season for Oshawa.

The Generals out shot the 67's 8-0 in overtime and 52-29 overall.
