Owsley makes 31 saves as Americans blank Rockets, take lead in WHL series

KELOWNA, B.C. - Drew Owsley was unbeatable in goal for Tri-City on Tuesday night, with a 31-save performance, as the Americans blanked the Kelowna Rockets 2-0 in Western Hockey League playoff action on Tuesday night.

Sergei Drozd, with his fifth goal of the post-season, and Johnny Lazo, with his third, scored for Tri-City, which took a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinal series. The best-of-seven set resumes Wednesday night in Kelowna with Game 4.

Mark Guggenberger made 22 saves for Kelowna, which trailed 1-0 and 2-0 at the period breaks.
