Ovechkin led all scorers with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in helping the Capitals take over first in the Eastern Conference with three wins in four games.
His biggest night was Friday, when he scored and added a career-high four assists in a 6-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Mason stopped 66 of 68 shots while posting a 3-0-0 record with one shutout.
Latendresse finished behind Ovechkin in scoring with eight points (4-4) as Minnesota won two of its four games.
He had a career-high four points (1-3) in a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh last Monday and recorded his first NHL hat trick in a 6-4 loss to Phoenix on Saturday.
