Ottawa Senators renew affiliation with AHL Binghamton through 2011-12 @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA (CP) - The Ottawa Senators extended their American Hockey League affiliation agreement with the Binghamton Senators for five more seasons, the NHL team said Wednesday.

The extension runs from 2007-08 through 2011-12. Additionally, the Binghamton Senators and Broome County reached an agreement in principle on a five-year lease for Veterans Memorial Arena. That deal is pending legislative approval.

The NHL Senators have used Binghamton as their AHL affiliate since the 2002-03 season. The Sensa are responsible for hiring the coaching staff and stocking the AHL club with prospects.
