10 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, NHL.TV

The Game

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl will miss the game against the Ottawa Senators at Rogers Place on Saturday with an eye injury and concussion-like symptoms, sustained in the first period of a 5-2 loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. He is day to day. Rookie forward Kailer Yamamoto will take Draisaitl's spot on Edmonton's first line alongside center Connor McDavid and forward Patrick Maroon.

Goaltender Cam Talbot will start for Edmonton, which has lost two straight since a 3-0 win against the Calgary Flames in their season opener on Oct. 4.

The Senators are playing the second half of a back-to-back, following a 6-0 win at the Calgary Flames on Friday. Goaltender Mike Condon will make his first start of the season for Ottawa, which is trying to sweep its three-game road trip through western Canada; the Senators began the trip with a 3-2 overtime win at the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.

Players to watch

McDavid has one assist in his past two games after opening the season with a hat trick against the Flames.

Senators center Derick Brassard had a goal and assist in the win against Calgary. He leads Ottawa in scoring with five points (two goals, three assists).

They said it

"He has an eye injury, the eye is swollen shut, and obviously, the eye is attached to the head, which leads to concussion-type symptoms now. So that's what we're dealing with, so he won't play tonight." -- Oilers coach Todd McLellan on the status of Draisaitl

"Those ones are always tough, back-to-back and the end of a road trip. At the same time, with the lead [in Calgary] some guys maybe didn't have to play as much as they needed to towards the end of the game. They were trying to rest guys up a little bit and get ready for [Saturday]." -- Senators defenceman Cody Ceci following a 6-0 win at Calgary
