The Colorado Avalanche are seeking their third consecutive win, which would be a season high. Goalie Calvin Pickard will start after making 25 saves Thursday in a 3-2 win against the New Jersey Devils. "We're being positive, celebrating little things," Pickard said. "We've been working hard and playing our game, and when we do that we're going to have success." The Avalanche are 2-1-0 on a four-game homestand and 3-1-0 in the past four at Pepsi Center. "We want to play well in front of our fans," coach Jared Bednar said. "They've been supporting us, and it's been a tough year, but they keep coming out and cheering us on. When we're playing well, you can feel the enthusiasm in the rink, and our guys are conscious of that. We have this homestand here and we want to make the most of it." The Avalanche have scored six goals in the winning streak after scoring two in a four-game losing streak. Colorado is 1-for-27 on the power play in the past 12 games and center Matt Duchene has gone nine games without a point.
