OTT@BOS: Krejci breaks tie in final minute

BOSTON --The Boston Bruins extended their point streak to 19 games with a 3-2 win against the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden on Saturday.

David Krejci scored the go-ahead goal at 19:15 of the third period for Boston (42-17-9), which is 15-0-4 in its past 19 games and has won six in a row overall and 10 straight at home.
The Bruins have not lost in regulation since the New York Rangers defeated them 3-2 on Jan. 19.

"Obviously, it's a nice number, but we're just taking it game by game," Krejci said. "We know what we're playing for here, and obviously a good finish from the team. But we have a game to play tomorrow, right? So get some rest, get ready for tomorrow."
Tuukka Rask made 17 saves and improved to 16-0-3 in his past 20 games (19 decisions).
Craig Anderson made 28 saves for the Senators (23-40-6), who have lost three games in a row and were eliminated from contention for a Stanley Cup Playoff berth.

OTT@BOS: Marchand nets wrister on power play

"Obviously, we're really disappointed in the result and we're disappointed in the way that we lost. We've got to learn lessons from this," Ottawa coach Marc Crawford said. "In order to win, it's usually always about a series of habits. And on the final goal, we missed two assignments, we had a poor change, and those things can't happen. And it's not they're lucky, it's not it was their fortunate thing or anything like that. We beat ourselves tonight at the end of the game, and if this team will grow, it will grow when it stops making those fundamental mistakes."
Brad Marchand scored on the power play at 10:11 of the second period to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. He stopped Torey Krug's cross-ice pass and scored with a wrist shot from the right face-off dot.
Jean-Gabriel Pageau tied it 1-1 at 11:08. Brady Tkachuk picked off a pass behind the Boston net and passed the puck out front to Pageau for a one-timer.
Tkachuk gave the Senators a 2-1 lead at 2:46 of the third period when he scored off a pass from Chris Tierney across the slot.
Chris Wagner tipped a Krug wrist shot from the left point to tie it 2-2 at 8:47.

OTT@BOS: Pageau's wrister beats Rask up high

Krejci scored the winner when he tipped a shot by Danton Heinen, giving Boston its second straight victory on a goal in the final minute. Patrice Bergeron scored with seven seconds left in a 4-3 win against the Florida Panthers on Thursday.
It is the first time in Bruins history they've scored the winning goal in the final minute of the third period in consecutive games.
"It just seems like now every game's close, could go either way, and we're finding a way to win," coach Bruce Cassidy said. "So give credit to the guys for doing that. It's not lucky when you find ways to win over and over again. Obviously, we've got some good players in the room and stepping up at the right time. Sign of a good team because we need it.

OTT@BOS: Wagner ties game with deft deflection

They said it

"I thought we probably deserved a better fate. I thought we played a pretty good, solid game overall, you know, and attention to detail wasn't there near the end. And it's just one of those things where they're a good hockey team, they've been doing that to us for at least eight years that I've played in Ottawa. So they find a way to stick with it and pounce on our mistakes." -- Senators goalie Craig Anderson
"It's a lot of fun. There's been some fun wins for sure that have down the wire, not really the way we always draw it up. But yeah, to be on the ice for the winner in the last minute there is a lot of fun, yeah." -- Bruins forward Danton Heinen
