OTTAWA - Cody Lindsay, Tyler Cuma and Thomas Nesbit scored third-period goals for the Ottawa 67's Friday night as they netted a 4-3 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
Lindsay also had a goal in the first period to open scoring for Ottawa (36-23-8). Michael Zador made 42 saves.
Christian Thomas had two goals for the Generals (24-38-5), while Alain Berger added a single. Colin Seullentrop had two assists. Petr Mrazek stopped 26 shots.
With the win the 67's prepared themselves a little further for the upcoming Ontario Hockey League playoffs, but the Generals closed their door on any post-season aspirations.
Oshawa are now officially on the outside looking out, while the 67's had already nailed down the second seed in the Eastern Conference heading into the playoffs.
"We can't let up. We have to play hard these last two games strong heading into the playoffs," said 67's forward Andrew Merrett.
"We had a slow start and how and that we were in last place but we're proud on how we battled back to that second spot in the conference."
The 67's out-shot the Generals 46-29.
