TORONTO - The Ontario Hockey League has named Conrad Hache its new director of officiating.
Hache, from Coniston, Ont., worked as an NHL referee and linesman for eight years, and more recently was an on-ice official in the American Hockey League and NCAA.
OHL vice-president Ted Baker served as director of officiating over the last year, but divested himself of the latter title for Hache.
Hache, who was an OHL linesman from 1991 to 1994, will oversee the league's 85 on-ice officials.
"'I've been officiating since I was 14 years old and look forward to working with everyone out there," Hache said Wednesday in a conference call.
