Ondrej Roman scores two goals as Spokane defeats Everett 4-1 @NHLdotcom

SPOKANE, Wash. - Ondrej Roman scored two goals and Dustin Tokarski stopped 18 shots as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Everett Silvertips 4-1 in Game 2 of the Western Conference quarterfinal series in front of a crowd of 6,529 at the Spokane Arena.

The Chiefs now lead the best-of-seven Western Hockey League playoff series 2-0. Games 3, 4 and 5 (if a fifth is necessary) will be in Everett on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Seth Compton also scored for Spokane, while Mitch Wahl scored an empty-net goal at 18:06 in the third.

Clayton Bauer netted Everett's lone goal in the third period on an assist from Zach Hamill.

Everett goalie Leland Irving turned aside 41 shots as Spokane outshot the Silvertips 45-19.
