SPOKANE, Wash. - Ondrej Roman scored the winning goal in the shootout and the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Everett Silvertips 4-3 Wednesday night in Western Hockey League action.
Trevor Glass, Chris Bruton and David Rutherford scored in regulation for Spokane, then Judd Blackwater and Roman scored in the shootout as the Chiefs won that 2-1.
Dustin Tokarski finished with 31 saves in goal for Spokane (42-13-1-5), which won its third straight.
Shane Harper scored two goals and Zach Hamill added a goal and two assists for Everett (34-25-0-3), which had a five-game winning streak snapped.
Leland Irving stopped 38 shots in goal for the Silvertips.
