On The Road: Off Day In Pittsburgh

The Colorado Avalanche is on a four-game road trip on the east coast with games against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.

With the Avalanche not having a practice scheduled for Sunday, the players have the day to do what they please.

However, while there is no on-ice skate on the docket, most of the players still do some kind of light workout, either in the form of stretching, foam rolling or hopping on a stationary bike in the hotel gym.
Some of the players--mostly those from Europe--go to a local restaurant to watch the soccer match between Manchester City and Manchester United. City won 2-1, much to the displeasure of some of the Avs.
Colorado continues its road trip on Monday, as the team begins a back-to-back set in Pittsburgh against the Penguins. The Avalanche finishes the week-long journey on Tuesday at the Washington Capitals.
