Kassian suspended two games for serving as aggressor

NEW YORK -- Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian has been suspended for two games, without pay, for violating Rule 46.2 (Aggressor) during an altercation with Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk during NHL Game No. 700 in Calgary on Saturday, Jan. 11, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:06 of the second period. Kassian received two minor penalties for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Kassian will forfeit $20,967.74. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
