Oilers forward Hall leaves game with leg injury

by Derek Van Diest

EDMONTON — Edmonton Oilers left wing Taylor Hall left the game against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday after crashing into the net early in the second period. He did not return because of a leg injury.

Hall lost his balance on a rush off the right wing and went into the net, hitting his right leg on the goal post before sliding hard into the boards. He skated off the ice 15 seconds into the second period, went to the dressing room and never returned.

"I have no update on Taylor yet," Oilers coach Dallas Eakins said after the game. "Obviously it's always going to be a huge hole to fill when that young man leaves your lineup."

Hall leads the Oilers in scoring with six goals and three assists.
