Staios, a 14-year veteran, has spent the past eight seasons with the Oilers. In 879 career games, he has 52 goals and 147 assists. The 36-year-old had a goal and 5 assists in 24 games during the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs, when the Oilers lost the Final in seven games to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The 26-year-old Johnson is headed to his fifth NHL team in six seasons. Before the Flames, he played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Islanders and Chicago Blackhawks. Johnson has 1 goal and 2 assists in 22 games for the Flames this season.
