EDM@CGY: McDavid nets second goal on the rush

If you take a longer, slower look at Connor McDavid's second goal from the Edmonton Oilers exhibition game against the Calgary Flames, you'll see clearly that's exactly what he wasn't doing: looking.

McDavid's goal with just about four minutes left in the game on Tuesday seemed pretty standard in live action, but the Oilers shared a reverse-angle, super slow-motion clip of the goal on social media and it is as amazing a goal as you'd expect from McDavid.

The play starts with McDavid rushing up the right side of the ice. He has forward Patrick Russell skating up center ice and Matt Benning trailing on the left.

McDavid looks and looks and appears to be trying to set up a teammate before he fires a wrist shot through the five hole of Flames goalie David Rittich, all while looking the other way. Bonus points for not even having the mouth guard in.

Even a goalie, Shannon Szabados of the Canadian Women's National Team, had to tip her mask on Twitter.

So, if you're scoring at home, that's one exhibition game back, one amazing thing from McDavid.
