OHL Roundup: Tyler Boston scores twice as Storm come back to beat Spirit @NHL

SAGINAW, Mich. - Tyler Boston had a pair of goals and added an assist as the Guelph Storm came back to beat the Saginaw Spirit 5-4 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Tyler Bertuzzi also struck twice for Guelph (24-16-3), which gave up four goals in the first period. Pius Suter added the other goal.

Dylan Sadowy opened the scoring for the Spirit (19-21-2) with a pair of goals. Marcus Crawford and Tye Felhaber supplied the rest of the offence.

Bradley Van Schubert made 24 saves for the win while Evan Cormier suffered the loss, turning away 41 shots.

The Storm went 1 for 5 on the power play while Saginaw was held scoreless on three opportunities with the man advantage.



ERIE, Pa. ? Connor McDavid scored his second of the game at 2:47 of overtime as the No. 6 Otters edged North Bay.

Patrick Fellows, Travis Dermott, Troy Donnay and Remi Elie supplied the rest of the Erie (31-9-3) offence. Dylan Strome added three assists for the Otters. It was McDavid's first two-goal game since Oct. 30.

Mike Amadio scored twice and added two assists for the Battalion (21-10-9). Miles Liberati, Ryan Kujawinski and Brenden Miller rounded out the attack.



LONDON, Ont. ??? Mitchell Marner had an empty-net goal and added two assists as the Knights got past Sarnia.

Christian Dvorak, Cliff Pu, Julius Bergman and Aaron Berisha supplied the rest of the offence for London (26-13-3).

Jakob Chychrun, Anthony Salintri and David Brown scored for the Sting (22-16-5).



ST. CATHARINES, Ont. ??? Chad Duchesne scored his first of the season in overtime as Kingston slipped past the IceDogs.

Lawson Crouse had a pair of goals for the Frontenacs (17-17-6). Conor McGlynn added the other goal.

Brian Brosnan, Graham Knott and Josh Ho-Sang found the back of the net for Niagara (17-21-4).



BELLEVILLE, Ont. ??? Dakota Mermis scored 1:53 into overtime as No. 1 Oshawa slipped past the Bulls.

Tobias Lindberg and Kenny Huether had second-period goals for the Generals (32-7-2). Michael Dal Colle chipped in with his 26th of the season in the first period.

David Tomasek and Maurizio Colella opened the scoring for Belleville (19-18-5) on the power play. Trent Fox added a goal in the third period.


67's 3 PETES 2 (SO)

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. ??? Travis Barron scored the only goal in the shootout as Ottawa edged the Petes.

Jeremiah Addison and Brendan Bell found the back of the net in regulation for the 67's (22-18-2). Ottawa's Travis Konecny received a five-minute match penalty for slew footing at 19:45 of the first period.

Dominik Masin and Steven Lorentz had goals for Peterborough (15-20-5).



PLYMOUTH, Mich. ??? Sonny Milano struck twice and added an assist in the Whalers' rout of Sudbury.

Victor Crus Rydberg, Cullen Mercer, Connor Sills, Will Bitten and Matthew Campagna rounded out the attack for Plymouth (14-24-3).

Michael Pezzetta scored in the second period for the Wolves (7-33-2).



WINDSOR, Ont. ??? Brandon Robinson scored the winner in the shootout and once in regulation as Kitchener topped the Spitfires.

Darby Llewellyn, Max Iafrate and Ryan MacInnis also chipped in for the Rangers (19-14-8), who won their third straight.

Jamie Lewis had a pair of goals for Windsor (18-23-2). Anthony Stefano and Lucas Venuto added the others.



BARRIE, Ont. ??? Daniel Gibl kicked out 26 shots as the Colts won their third straight and shut out Mississauga.

Justin Scott and Brendan Lemieux scored for Barrie (26-13-2). Andrew Mangiapane added an empty-netter.

Cameron Zanussi stopped 32-of-34 shots for the Steelheads (18-22-3). Mississauga has now dropped four straight.
