OHL Roundup: Senyshyn scores hat trick as Greyhounds rout Spirit 7-1 @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Zachary Senyshyn had a hat trick to lead the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds to a 7-1 rout of the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Bryan Moore had a pair of goals for the Greyhounds (40-11-2) with Nick Ritchie and Darnell Nurse also chipping in. Michael Bunting added three assists while Brandon Halverson made 18 saves for the win.

Tye Felhaber had the lone offence for Saginaw (23-26-3) in the first period. Evan Cormier turned away 33 shots as the Spirit dropped their third in a row.

Sault Ste. Marie went 1 for 3 on the power play while Saginaw was scoreless on four chances.



ERIE, Pa. ? Connor McDavid scored his 27th goal of the season in the third period and it stood as the winner as the Otters slipped past Owen Sound.

Kyle Pettit had a goal and two assists for Erie (36-12-3). Jake Marchment and Remi Elie also scored.

Petrus Palmu struck twice for the Attack (23-19-9), with Santino Centorame adding the other. Chirs Bigras had three assists.



KINGSTON, Ont. ??? Michael Dal Colle had a four-point night ??? including two goals ??? as Oshawa routed the Frontenacs.

Aidan Wallace also had a pair of goals for the Generals (42-7-4). Bradley Latour, Cole Cassels and Tobias Lindberg rounded out the attack.

Lawson Crouse responded in the second period for Kingston (20-22-8).



PLYMOUTH, Mich. ??? Justin Scott scored twice ??? including once in a three-goal third period ??? as Barrie got past the Whalers.

Garrett Hooey also struck twice for the Colts (34-17-2), who extended their winning streak to six games. Andrew Mangiapane chipped in with the other goal for Barrie.

Connor Chatham had a pair of goals and added an assist for Plymouth (18-30-4). Mathew Campagna scored late in the first period.



GUELPH, Ont. ??? Tyler Bertuzzi scored the winner in a shootout and Justin Nichols stopped 58 shots as the Storm edged Sarnia.

Bertuzzi would add another in regulation for Guelph (30-20-4), with Pius Suter and Matthew Hotchkiss rounding out the attack.

Anthony Salintri, Alexandre Renaud and Nikita Korostelev scored for the Sting (24-22-7). Taylor Dupuis kicked out 23 shots in goal.



KITCHENER, Ont. ??? Brandon Robinson had a hat trick and added an assist as the Rangers scored five times in the third period to double up Mississauga.

Dylan Diperna, Darby Llewellyn and Mike Davies also had goals for Kitchener (26-17-9).

Stephen Gibson, Michael McLeod and Brandon Devlin found the back of the net for the Steelheads (22-29-3).


67'S 3 BULLS 2

OTTAWA ??? Connor Graham scored the winner with under five minutes remaining in the third period as the 67's slipped past Belleville.

Travis Konecny and Sam Studnicka had power-play goals in the second period for Ottawa (29-20-3), which picked up its third-straight win.

Niki Petti and David Tomasek gave the Bulls (21-25-7) a 2-0 lead to start the game.



SUDBURY, Ont. ??? Max Domi was one of three London forwards to score twice as it snapped a six-game losing skid by routing the Wolves.

Christian Dvorak and Josh Sterk also had a pair of goals for the Knights (31-20-3), who scored six times in the first period. Mitchell Marner had a goal and three assists while Chandler Yakimowicz, Matt Rupert and Aaron Berisha rounded out the attack.

Danny Desrochers and Jacob Harris scored in the second period for Sudbury (9-41-2).
