OHL Roundup: Nick Ritchie leads Greyhounds in Game 1 win over Storm

SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. - Nick Ritchie scored twice and Anthony DeAngelo had three assists as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds topped the Guelph Storm 7-4 on Wednesday in Game 1 of their second-round Ontario Hockey League playoff series.

Zachary Senyshyn, Bryan Moore, Michael Bunting, Sergey Tolchinsky and Justin Bailey also scored for the Greyhounds, who have won five straight playoff games after sweeping their first-round set.

C.J. Garcia led Guelph with two goals, Givani Smith scored one and set up another and Jason Dickinson rounded out the offence.

Sault Ste. Marie goaltender Brandon Halverson made 21 saves. Justin Nichols stopped 31 shots in the losing effort.

The Greyhounds were 3 for 7 on the power play while the Storm scored three goals on six chances with the man advantage.

Sault Ste. Marie hosts Game 2 on Thursday.
