OHL Roundup: Mike Amadio, Battalion snap Knights' nine-game winning streak @NHLdotcom

NORTH BAY, Ont. - Mike Amadio had a goal and three assists as the North Bay Battalion snapped London's nine-game winning streak with a 7-2 rout of the Knights on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Mathew Santos had a goal and two helpers for the Battalion (14-12-3), who scored five times in the second period. Cam Dineen, Brett Hargrave, Mike Baird, Brett McKenzie and Daniil Vertiy rounded out the attack.

Cliff Pu and JJ Piccinich scored for London (23-5-2), whose last defeat came on Nov. 20.

Jake Smith turned aside 21 shots for the win in net. Brendan Burke started for the Knights and kicked out 21-of-28 shots in 49:38 before being ejected for fighting. Emanuel Vella went the rest of the way and stopped all seven shots he faced.

North Bay went 1 for 10 on the power play while London scored once on eight opportunities with the man advantage.

Burke, along with teammates Brandon Crawley, Jack Hidi and Aiden Jamieson were all ejected at 9:38 of the third period for fighting. Baird, McKenzie and Zach Shankar were ejected for the Battalion in the same stoppage, also for fighting.



GUELPH, Ont. ? Mikkel Aagaard scored the go-ahead goal in the third period and added two assists as Sudbury doubled up the Storm.

Dmitry Sokolov and Alan Lyszczarczyk also chipped in for the Wolves (6-23-3), who got an empty netter from Zach Wilkie.

Jacob Harris and Luke Burghardt, on the power play, provided the offence for Guelph (2-27-1), which has lost 14 in a row.



OWEN SOUND, Ont. ??? Jacob Busch had two goals and an assist and Michael McNiven stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Attack blanked Peterborough.

Justin Brack had a goal and two assists for Owen Sound (13-12-6), which also got goals from Josh Sterk, Markus Phillips, Santino Centorame and Thomas Schemitsch.

Dylan Wells turned away 34 shots for the Petes (16-13-4).



WINDSOR, Ont. ??? Jalen Chatfield scored the winner in extra time as the Spitfires snapped Kitchener's five-game winning streak.

Cristiano DiGiacinto, Gabriel Vilardi and Bradley Latour, on the power play, supplied the rest of the offence for Windsor (18-9-5).

Darby Llewellyn, Gustaf Franzen and Ryan MacInnis, with the man advantage, found the back of the net for the Rangers (23-3-4).



OTTAWA ??? Medric Mercier and Bobby MacIntyre both had two goals and two assists as Sault Ste. Marie powered past the 67's.

Gabe Guertler scored twice and added an assist for the Greyhounds (14-14-3), who scored six times in the second period. Hayden Verbeek and Blake Speers rounded out the attack while Zachary Senyshyn tacked on three assists.

Austen Keating had a hat trick and an assist for Ottawa (16-15-1), which dropped its sixth in a row. Ben Fanjoy and Sam Studnicka also scored.



OSHAWA, Ont. ??? Kris Bennett broke a 2-2 deadlock at 18:16 of the third as Saginaw edged the Generals.

Tye Felhaber and Kirill Maksimov also scored for the Spirit (13-16-2).

Anthony Cirelli and Jack Studnicka supplied the goals for Oshawa (12-16-5).



SARNIA, Ont. ??? Jordan Kyrou had a goal and two assists and the Sting scored three unanswered goals in the third period en route to beating Flint.

Jeff King, Matt Mistele, Ryan McGregor and Hayden Hodgson also scored for Sarnia (17-11-2).

Connor Chatham and Stephan Seegar found the back of the net for the Firebirds (13-14-3).
