BARRIE, Ont. - Kyle Platzer recorded his second hat trick of the season as the Owen Sound Attack slipped past the host Barrie Colts 4-3 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Platzer's third goal of the game came at 5:35 of the second period and stood up as the eventual winner as Owen Sound carried a 4-1 lead into the final 20 minutes.
Daniel Milne had a goal and an assist for the Attack (25-19-9) and Zach Nastasiuk added three helpers.
Andrew Mangiapane, Rasmus Andersson and Justin Scott supplied the offence for the Colts (35-18-2), who had their win streak halted at seven games.
Owen Sound's Jack Flinn made 40 saves for the win. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 17-of-21 shots in 28:10 of action before giving way to Daniel Gibl, who stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief for Barrie.
The Attack went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Colts converted once on six chances with the man advantage.

NORTH BAY, Ont. ? Brandon Robinson and Ryan MacInnis each had a pair of goals as Kitchener toppled the Battalion.
Nick Magyar also scored for the Rangers (27-18-9) while Jake Paterson made 26 saves for the win.
Nick Paul found the back of the net for North Bay (28-15-11). James Smith allowed five goals on 17 shots.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. ??? Matthew Mancina made 30 saves and Nathan Pancel's goal 54 seconds into the second period stood up as the winner as the Petes blanked Belleville.
Josh Maguire and Greg Betzold also scored for Peterborough (22-27-5), which has won back-to-back games.
Charlie Graham kicked out 39-of-42 shots for the Bulls (23-26-7), who hold a four-point edge on the Petes for the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.
