OHL Roundup: Blandisi scores hat trick as Colts extend win streak to seven

BARRIE, Ont. - Joseph Blandisi scored a hat trick, while Kevin Labanc had a five-point night as the Barrie Colts thrashed the London Knights 10-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.

Labanc scored once and added four assists for the Colts (23-12-2), who have now won seven straight games. Justin Scott, Rasmus Andersson, Brendan Lemieux, Roy Radke, Garrett Hooey, and Andrew Mangiapane also chipped in.

John Warren, Aaron Berisha and Chris Martenet had goals for London (24-11-3), which entered the game having won nine of its last 10 games.

Mackenzie Blackwood made 26 saves in goal for Barrie. Tyler Parsons started for the Knights but was pulled after allowing three goals on five shots in 7:58. Michael Giugovaz turned aside 25-of-32 shots in 52:02 of relief.

The Colts converted on three of their six power-play chances while London scored once on six opportunities.

ERIE, Pa. ? Hayden McCool had a pair of goals as Windsor doubled up the Otters.

Trevor Murphy, Markus Soberg, Logan Brown and Sam Povorozniouk also scored for the Spitfires (14-21-1).

Mason Marchment, Dylan Strome and Nick Betz found the back of the net for Erie (27-8-3).

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. ??? Blake Siebenaler had a hat trick and Billy Jenkins scored the winner in the shootout as the IceDogs edged Kitchener.

Jenkins also added a goal in regulation for Niagara (14-21-2) with Brendan Perlini scoring the other.

Justin Bailey struck twice for the Rangers (15-13-8) while Brandon Robinson, Adam Mascherin and Connor Bunnaman also scored.

SUDBURY, Ont. ??? Jeremy Brodeur turned away all 20 shots he faced as No. 1 nationally-ranked Oshawa blanked the Wolves.

Brent Pedersen, Cole Cassels, Hunter Smith, Dakota Mermis, Michael McCarron and Michael Dal Colle all scored for the Generals (29-5-1). McCarron, a Montreal Canadiens prospect, added two assists in his first game with the team since being traded from the London Knights earlier this week.

Troy Timpano made 45 saves in net for Sudbury (7-26-2).

BELLEVILLE, Ont. ??? Josh MacDonald scored twice as Peterborough downed the Bulls.

Jonathan Ang, Eric Cornel, Michael Clarke and Matt Spencer also found the back of the net for the Petes (14-18-4).

Remi Elie and Jordan Subban had first-period goals for Belleville (18-16-3).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. ??? Charley Graaskamp had a goal and two assists as the Greyhounds routed Ottawa.

Zachary Senyshyn, Keigan Koetz, Bryan Moore, David Miller, Gabe Guertler and Kyle Jenkins rounded out the Sault Ste. Marie (27-8-2) attack.

Connor Graham, Nathan Todd and Dante Salituro scored for the 67's (18-16-2).

SAGINAW, Mich. ??? Dylan Sadowy scored his 24th of the season in overtime as the Spirit edged Sarnia.

Noah Bushnell struck twice for the Sting (18-15-4). Troy Lajeunesse and Jordan Kyrou also chipped in.
