OHL Roundup: Barron leads 67's over Spirit with a hat trick @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Travis Barron scored three times and Travis Konecny had four assists as the Ottawa 67's came from behind to defeat the host Saginaw Spirit 6-4 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Barron tied the game 4-4 at 14:44 of the third period with his second goal of the game and Stepan Falkovsky scored the eventual winner just over two minutes later. Barron completed the hat trick with an empty-netter.

Nathan Todd and Dante Salituro also found the back of the net for the 67's (6-4-0). Drake Rymsha chipped in with three helpers of his own.

Dylan Sadowy struck three times for the Spirit (2-5-2), who have dropped four games in a row, and Tye Felhaber added a goal and an assist.

Ottawa's Leo Lazarev made 21 saves for the win as Brendan Bonello kicked out 27-of-32 shots for Saginaw.

The 67's went 1 for 3 on the power play while the Spirit failed to capitalize on its only chance with the man advantage.



OWEN SOUND, Ont. ? Jarett Meyer scored 35 seconds into overtime and Ethan Szypula added a pair in regulation as the Attack slipped past Windsor.

Sean Durzi also scored for Owen Sound (5-3-2) and Santino Centorame chipped in with three assists. Michael McNiven made 20 saves for the win.

Anthony Stefano, Gabriel Vilardi and Aaron Luchuk responded for the Spitfires (6-1-3) while Michael Giugovaz turned away 33-of-37 shots in defeat.



HAMILTON ??? Alan Lyszczarczyk scored once and set up two more and Matthew Menna made 35 saves as Sudbury downed the Bulldogs.

Patrick Murphy, Jacob Harris and Matt Schmalz had a goal and an assist apiece for the Wolves (3-7-0) and David Levin added a single.

Stephen Harper had both goals for Hamilton (4-5-0). Charlie Graham stopped 18-of-22 shots in a losing cause.



NORTH BAY, Ont. ??? Mike Amadio scored three times and Jake Smith made 23 saves as the Battalion edged Niagara.

Zach Bratina also scored for North Bay (5-4-0). Riley Bruce and Mathew Santos tacked on two assists apiece.

Jordan Maletta, Anthony DiFruscia and Johnny Corneil supplied the scoring for the IceDogs (3-6-1) and Josh Ho-Sang added two assists. Brent Moran made 26 stops in defeat.



GUELPH, Ont. ??? Luke Opilka stopped all 30 shots his way as Kitchener blanked the Storm.

Brandon Robinson and Brian Brosnan scored for the Rangers (6-0-3).

Justin Nichols turned away 35-of-37 shots for the Storm (1-7-1), who are on a four-game slide.



OSHAWA, Ont. ??? Lucas Perissini turned aside 35 shots as Kingston handed the Generals their third straight loss.

Spencer Watson supplied the game's only offence 26 seconds into the extra period for the Frontenacs (6-2-2).

Logan Gauthier stopped 24-of-25 shots for Oshawa (4-5-2).



SARNIA, Ont. ??? Troy Lajeunesse struck twice as the Sting toppled Mississauga.

Pavel Zacha and Patrick White rounded out the Sting (7-2-1) offence. Justin Fazio made 26 saves for the victory.

Nathan Bastian put Mississauga (4-5-1) on the board. Cameron Zanussi allowed three goals on 10 shots, ending his night just 15:12 into the first period. Jack Flinn made 16 saves in relief.
