A dominant day in net by Michael Houser put the London Knights atop the Ontario Hockey League's Western Conference standings.
Houser made 40 saves while Chris Tierney and rookie Bo Horvat had a goal and two assists Sunday as the Knights beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-1.
Matt Rupert and Andreas Athanasiou also scored for Knights (6-1-0), who are two points ahead of Guelph and Windsor in the West.
From behind the net, Tierney bounced the puck off Greyhounds goalie Michael Nishi for a 2-1 second-period lead. It was his first goal of the season.
Horvat, London's first-round selection this year, and Tierney would set up Athanasiou to put the Knights ahead 3-1.
Tierney and Horvat connected again in the third when Horvat took a pass in front of the goal and scored his third of the season.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Guelph 6, Saginaw 3; and Ottawa 4, Plymouth 1.
At London, Ont., Alex Morgan scored the lone goal for Sault Ste. Marie (4-3-0) in the first period after he deflected Joe Rogalski's point shot past Houser.
For Morgan, who hails from nearby St. Thomas, it was his first OHL goal in his first game after starting the season in Junior B with the Chatham Maroons.
Michael Nishi made 31 saves in his debut with Sault Ste. Marie after a trade from Windsor.
Storm 6, Spirit 3
At Guelph, Ont., Zack Mitchell scored twice as the Storm beat the Spirit.
Andrey Pedan, Ryan Horvat, Scott Kosmachuk and Cody McNaughton also scored for Guelph (4-1-2), which had five goals in the third period.
John McFarland, Garret Ross and Michael Fine countered for Saginaw (1-6-0).
67's 4, Whalers 1
At Ottawa, Petr Mrazek made 27 saves for the 67's against Plymouth.
Tyler Toffoli, Steven Janes, Ben Dubois and Nicholas Foglia each scored for Ottawa (5-1-1).
Rickard Rakell had the lone goal for the Whalers (3-4-0) while Matt Mahalak stopped 28 shots in net.
