The Ontario Hockey League's goalie of the month in November stopped 33 shots to lead the Belleville Bulls to a 4-1 victory against the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday.
Daniil Zharkov had two goals for Belleville (19-9-0) while Brendan Gaunce and Austen Brassard added singles.
Windsor (13-14-4) got their lone goal from Zack MacQueen.
Windsor's Jaroslav Pavelka stopped 31 shots in the loss, while Subban lowered his goals against average to 1.78 and increased his save percentage to .943. Both statistics lead the OHL.
The victory was Belleville's sixth in a row, keeping the team tied for first place in the East Division with the Ottawa 67's.
Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Kitchener 3, Erie 1; Barrie 4, Niagara 3 (SO); Ottawa 7 Peterborough 6 (SO); Plymouth 7, Guelph 5; Saginaw 6, Sault Ste. Marie 4; and London 5 Owen Sound 3.
At Belleville, Ont., after a scoreless first period, Zharkov opened the scoring 3:53 into the second to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead.
Gaunce doubled the lead at 8:41 but MacQueen responded for Windsor to make it 2-1 Bulls after 40 minutes.
Zharkov scored his second of the game at 5:44 of the third and Brassard added an empty-net goal with 2:04 remaining to give Belleville a 4-1 victory.
