OHL Roundup: A look at Friday's games @NHLdotcom

It was a memorable homecoming for Peterborough Petes centre Alan Quine.

Quine scored the game-winning goal as the Petes defeated the host Ottawa 67's 5-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

"It was very satisfying to score a goal like that in my hometown," Quine said.

Andrew Yogan scored two goals for the Petes (20-16-6), Joey West had a goal and two assists while Luke Hietkamp scored the other.

Shane Prince lead the 67's (25-11-5) offensively with two goals and an assist as Mike Cazzola added a goal and an assist.

Andrew D'Agostini made 27 saves for the win while Petr Mrazek stopped 26 shots in defeat.

Peterborough went 1 for 4 on the power play as Ottawa scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Sarnia 7, Mississauga 1; Windsor 5, Guelph 0; Plymouth 6, Kitchener 1; Kingston 4, London 1; Owen Sound 3, Erie 1; Oshawa 3, Brampton 2 (OT); Sault Ste. Marie 5, Saginaw 4 and Niagara 5, Sudbury 2.

At Ottawa, Cazzola scored 12 second into the game to give the 67's a 1-0 lead.

Prince doubled the lead at 8:48, but West scored a power-play goal at 15:17 to make it 2-1 Ottawa after 20 minutes of play.

Peterborough had the only goal of the second period when Hietkamp scored shorthanded at 9:39.

Yogan scored at 8:22 of the third period to give the Petes their first lead of the game, however Prince scored on the power play at 16:48 to tie the game 3-3.

With less than three minutes remaining in the final period, Quine scored for the Petes to regain a one-goal lead.

Yogan added an insurance goal into an empty net with 16 seconds remaining.

At Sarnia, Ont., Domenic Alberga scored three times and Alex Basso added two more as the Sting (21-16-5) crushed the Majors (18-17-6).


Spitfires 5 Storm 0

At Guelph, Ont., Jaroslav Pavelka made 22 saves, earning his first OHL shutout, and Kerby Rychel scored twice as Windsor (19-20-4) shutout the Storm (16-18-5).


Whalers 6 Rangers 1

At Kitchener, Ont., Rickard Rakell and Mitchell Heard had two goals apiece as Plymouth (29-9-3) won its seventh straight game by crushing the Rangers (27-12-1).


Frontenacs 4 Knights 1

At London, Ont., Igor Bobkov stopped 49 of 50 shots, earning first star of the game, as Kingston (12-25-4) handed the Knights (30-9-1) their first loss in six games.


Attack 3 Otters 1

At Owen Sound, Ont., Jake Dotchin set up two goals, including the winner, as the Attack (20-17-5) beat Erie (5-33-2), which has lost six in a row.


Generals 3 Battalion 2 (OT)

At Oshawa, Ont., Andy Andreoff scored 27 seconds into overtime, on the power play, to lift the Generals (19-19-4) over Brampton (23-11-8).


Greyhounds 5 Spirit 4

At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Michael Schumacher and Nick Cousins had a goal and an assist each as the Greyhounds (19-20-4) snapped a five-game losing streak by defeating Saginaw (17-21-3).


IceDogs 5 Wolves 2

At Sudbury, Ont., Freddie Hamilton scored twice and set up one more as Niagara (25-13-3) beat Sudbury (21-14-3).
