OHL Roundup: A look at Friday's games @NHLdotcom

Michael Houser seems to save his best performances for games against the Guelph Storm.

Houser stopped 41 of 42 shots to lead the London Knights to a 3-1 victory on Friday against the Storm in Ontario Hockey League action.

Bo Horvat had a goal and an assist for London (25-7-1) while Chris Tierney and Seth Griffith added a single goal each.

Zack Mitchell scored the lone goal for Guelph (13-14-5).

Garret Sparks made 35 saves in the loss.

Neither team could score on the power play as the Knights went 0-for-5 and the Storm 0-for-6.

Houser has an OHL best 24 wins on the season and is now 3-0 against Guelph, stopping 118 of 121 shots in those three contests.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Sudbury 7, Erie 2; Sarnia 5, Owen Sound 3; Kitchener 3, Sault Ste. Marie 2 (SO); Mississauga 3, Kingston 1; Brampton 2, Ottawa 1 (OT) and Plymouth 5, Oshawa 0.

At London, Ont., Tierney opened the scoring 9:30 into the first period to give the Knights a 1-0 lead to take into first intermission.

After a scoreless second period, Horvat scored at 10:33 of the third to double London's lead to 2-0.

Mitchell responded for the Storm at 11:27, cutting the lead in half, but it was all they could get as Houser stopped 19 other third-period shots.

With 41 seconds to play, Griffith scored into an empty net, securing a 3-1 London victory.

At Erie, Pa., Michael Sgarbossa led the way with two goals as Sudbury (17-11-1) crushed the Otters (4-27-2).


Sting 5 Attack 3

At Sarnia, Ont., Brett Thompson and Reid Boucher had two goals and and assist each to help Sarnia (19-9-5) defeat Owen Sound (17-14-4).


Rangers 3 Greyhounds 2 (SO)

At Kitchener, Ont., Radek Faksa scored in regulation and the shootout and Franky Palazzese stopped 46 shots to lift the Rangers (22-9-1) over Sault Ste. Marie (17-14-4).


Majors 3 Frontenacs 1

At Mississauga, Ont., Dylan Demelo had a goal and an assist while J.P. Anderson stopped 34 shots to lead the Majors (15-14-4) over Kingston (9-21-4).


Battalion 2 67's 1 (OT)

At Ottawa, Michael Santini scored with under a minute remaining in overtime to lift Brampton (19-10-4) over the 67's (18-9-5).


Whalers 5 Generals 0

At Oshawa, Ont., Matt Mahalak made 30 saves and Andy Bathgate scored twice as Plymouth (22-8-3) shutout the Generals (13-17-4).
