Nugent-Hopkins and Kudma score two each as Rebels overthrow Portland 6-2

RED DEER, Alta. - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Andrej Kudrna each scored twice and Willie Coetzee collected four assists as the Red Deer Rebels dumped the Portland Winterhawks 6-2 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Josh Cowen and Brett Ferguson also scored for Red Deer (5-6-0).

Spencer Bennett and Brad Ross replied for Portland (8-4-0).

Rebels netminder Darcy Kuemper made 34 saves, while starter Ian Curtis and Kurtis Mucha combined to stop 32 shots for the visitors.
