Norfolk Admirals beat Albany Devils 4-3 for AHL-record 20th straight win

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals' record-setting winning streak has reached 20 games.

Alexandre Picard's third-period goal lifted the Admirals over the Albany Devils 4-3 in American Hockey League action Saturday.

Ondrej Palat, Alex Killorn and Tyler Johnson also scored for Norfolk (47-18-3), which scored three unanswered to roar past the Devils.

Vladimir Zharkov, Mattias Tedenby and Matt Anderson replied for Albany (28-28-11).

Palat opened the scoring just one minute into the game for Norfolk before Zharkov tied the game on a short-handed goal at 13:29.

Tedenby put the Devils ahead on a power-play goal in the second before Killorn's goal at 15:02 keyed the Admirals' run.

Johnson scored at 1:06 in the third, and Picard's goal at 13:55 gave Norfolk a 4-2 lead.

Anderson cut the deficit to one at 18:39 before Norfolk clinched their latest win.

Admirals goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 34 saves, while at the other end Keith Kinkaid stopped 35 shots.
