Noesen scores twice on power play as Whalers beat Attack 4-3 @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Stefan Noesen had two goals and an assist as the Plymouth Whalers defeated the visiting Owen Sound Attack 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Tom Wilson and JT Miller also scored for the West Division's regular-season champion Whalers (46-17-3), who have now won nine straight, while Andy Bathgate and Mitchell Heard contributed two assists apiece.

Jay Gilbert, Cameron Brace and Devon Rymarchuk scored for the Attack (32-27-7), who sit fifth in the West.

Scott Wedgewood turned away 33 shots for the win while Scott Stajcer made 33 saves of his own in a losing effort.

Plymouth got all its offence from the power play, going 4 for 7, as Owen Sound went 1 for 6.
