Noesen has goal, two assists to lead Whalers past Spitfires 5-1 in OHL contest @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Stefan Noesen had a goal and two assists to lead the Plymouth Whalers past the Windsor Spitfires 5-1 in the lone OHL game Monday afternoon.

The contest was a chippy one as the two teams combined for more than 100 penalty minutes. But the Whalers (30-10-2-1) earned their eighth win in nine games.

Austin Levi and Tom Wilson added a goal and an assist for the Whalers while Cody Payne and Jamie Devane also scored. Scott Wedgewood stopped 26 shots.

Nick Ebert had a power-play goal midway through the third for Windsor (19-21-3-1). Jaroslav Pavelka finished with 49 saves.
