Noebels and Pickard lead Seattle Thunderbirds over Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Marcel Noebels had a goal and an assist and Calvin Pickard made 33 saves as the Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 on Wednesday night in the Western Hockey League.

Landon Oslanski scored at 4:18 of the second period to put the Hurricanes (3-16-1) in front 1-0.

Seattle (6-10-0) quickly tied the game a minute and a half later after as Noebels brought the puck through the crease and tucked it past the outstretched right leg of Lethbridge goalie Damien Ketlo.

Mitch Elliot put the T-Birds in front 2-1 at 12:17 of the third period courtesy of a lucky bounce with Ketlo out of position.

Brendan Rouse extended Seattle's lead to two goals after Noebels centred it to Rouse who beat Ketlo with a shot over the goalie's glove at 18:02 of the third for his second goal of the year.

Lethbridge made it interesting when Adam Henry scored 10 seconds after Rouse's goal to cut the T-Birds lead to one.

Ketlo faced 28 shots and made 25 saves.
