The Devils earned a point in the standings with a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers tonight at Prudential Center with two goals by Kyle Palmieri (1PPG) and Adam Henrique. Here's what we learned:
1) The Devils put up 39 shots including six by Beau Bennett and five each from Michael Cammalleri and Kyle Quincey. Palmieri had four including two in overtime - a breakaway that Antti Rannta got a piece of and a follow up attempt that hit the outside of the net.

2) The Devils continued their success on the power play since the start of 2017. Andy Greene's shot from the point found Palmieri just four seconds into their first attempt to go 1-for-2 on the night. They are now 26% effective since Jan 1 and 45.8% in the month of February with the man advantage.
3) Tonight's game was sold out and the atmosphere was electric. Although the Devils wanted the win and the second point that came with it, they all commented on how fun it was to play and that they felt they did everything they could to get the win - including scoring twice to take a 3-2 in the first :74 minutes of the third period - and it just didn't go their way in overtime.
The Devils are back at it on Monday night when they host the Montreal Canadiens.
