Nick Spaling's hat trick powers Rangers to 6-5 win over Guelph @NHL

GUELPH, Ont. - Nick Spaling registered a hat trick and added an assist as the Kitchener Rangers edged the Guelph Storm 6-5 in OHL action Sunday afternoon.

Spaling now has 12 goals, six assists this season.

Justin Azevedo scored four assists in the campaign, and scored a single midway through the second to put the Rangers up 5-4. Matt Halischuk counted three assists, and scored a power-play marker to open the scoring for Kitchener (8-2-0-0), who outshot the Storm 37-22.

Brandon Buck and Leigh Salters each scored twice for Guelph (4-6-2-0), who went 4-for-10 with the man advantage. Drew Doughty had single and three assists.

Kitchener netminders Josh Unice and Mavric Parks combined for 17 saves.
