Nicholls scores twice for the Blades as they defeat the Tigers 2-1 in overtime

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Josh Nicholls scored twice, including once in overtime, as the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Matej Stransky and Jake Trask picked up assists on Saskatoon's (19-9-1) goals.

Hunter Shinkaruk scored the lone goal for Medicine Hat (16-10-4).

Andrey Makarov made 23 saves for the win as Tyler Bunz turned away 43 shots in defeat.

The Blades went 1-for-4 on the power play as the Tigers failed to score on either of their opportunities with the man advantage.
