Dennis Rasmussen signs one-year contract with Ducks

Forward Dennis Rasmussen signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks. Financial terms of the contract were not released.
Rasmussen, 27, had eight points (four goals, four assists) in 68 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season. He has 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 112 NHL games, all with Chicago.

Jussi Jokinen signs one-year contract with Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers signed forward Jussi Jokinen to a one-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but Sportsnet reported the contract was worth $1.1 million.
Jokinen, 34, had 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 69 games with the Florida Panthers last season and was an alternate captain. He had one year ($4 million salary-cap charge) remaining on his contract but was bought out by the Panthers on July 1.
In 891 NHL games with the Panthers, Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins, Jokinen has 546 points (186 goals, 360 assists).

Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein retires from NHL

After 12 seasons in the NHL, New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein
announced his retirement
from the League.
Klein, 32, who had 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 60 games with the Rangers last season, missed time because of a back injury.
Klein spent the past three seasons with the Rangers after he was traded by the Nashville Predators on Jan. 22, 2014. Nashville selected him with the No. 37 pick in the 2003 NHL Draft.
Klein had 154 points (38 points, 116 assists) in 627 games.
