Auston Matthews, TOR -- The Toronto Maple Leafs center is worth spending up for against the Boston Bruins in Game 5 of the first round with four points (three goals, one assist) and 11 shots on goal in his past two games. He's skating on the second line with wings Andreas Johnsson and Kasperi Kapanen at even strength and the top power play with John Tavares, Mitchell Marner and defenseman Morgan Rielly.
Charlie Coyle, BOS -- The Bruins center has three points (two goals, one assist) in the past three games skating on the third line with mostly forwards Danton Heinen and David Backes. Coyle played 18:57 in Game 4 and has multiple SOG in three of the four games this series (total of nine SOG). Coyle is worth rostering as a value play in FanDuel DFS contests against the Maple Leafs, who will be without third line center Nazem Kadri for the remainder of the first round.
Mikko Rantanen, COL -- The Colorado Avalanche right wing has three straight multipoint games skating on the second line at even strength and top power play with forwards Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Colin Wilson and defenseman Tyson Barrie. Rantanen leads Colorado with six points (three goals, three assists) in four games and has 16 SOG over the span.
Charlie McAvoy, BOS -- The Bruins defenseman scored a goal and had an assist in their 6-4 win against the Maple Leafs in Game 4. McAvoy leads Boston skaters in ice time with 24:17 per game and brings valuable even-strength exposure to forwards Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak.
Philipp Grubauer, COL -- The Avalanche goalie has won three straight games with a .942 save percentage over the span and could eliminate the Flames in Game 5. The Avalanche have held elite left wing Johnny Gaudreau to one assist in four games this series, which will be crucial to advancing to the second round. Grubauer is 1-1 with a .926 SV% in two road games this series.
Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard could return to the lineup in Game 5 after missing the past two games with an upper-body injury.
