scored on a penalty shot and had two assists for the Ottawa Senators in a 4-3 win against the Montreal Canadiens in the Kraft Hockeyville 2020 preseason game at Steele Community Centre in Gander, Newfoundland, on Thursday.

The forward scored at 11:55 of the second period for Ottawa's third goal. He had two assists in the first period.
The top line for the Senators (Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk, Drake Batherson) combined for six points (three goals, three assists). Anton Forsberg made 20 saves.
Claude Giroux scored the go-ahead goal for Ottawa at 8:02 of the third period.
Kirby Dach scored his first goal with Canadiens, who have lost each of their seven preseason games (0-6-1). Cayden Primeau made 22 saves.
Batherson scored 38 seconds into the first after a pass from Stutzle to give the Senators a 1-0 lead.
Tkachuk made it 2-0 at 8:27 when he converted a 2-on-1 pass from Stutzle. Batherson had an assist on the goal.
Kaiden Guhle made it 2-1 at 12:23 when his rising point shot found its way through traffic.
Dach, who was acquired in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on July 7, tied it 2-2 with a power-play goal at 5:13 of the second period, scoring off a pass from Brendan Gallagher.
Josh Anderson made it 4-3 at 9:16 of the third when he converted a pass from Jujar Slafkovsky, the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Each team will end its preseason with a rematch at J.K Irving Center in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, for Kraft Hockeyville 2021 on Saturday (6:30 p.m. ET; TVAS).
Panthers 3, Lightning 2: Brandon Montour broke a tie on the power play with 1:15 left in the third period, and the Florida Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Mountour scored with a one-timer from the point.
Aleksander Barkov and Aaron Ekblad each had two assists, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves for Florida.
Andrei Vasilevskiy made 38 saves for Tampa Bay, which has lost all four of its preseason games.
Zac Dalpe put the Panthers ahead 1-0 at 3:43 of the first period when he skated into the slot for a one-timer after the puck caromed off the end boards.

Nicholas Paul cut it to 2-1 at 10:20 of the second period.
Vladislav Namestnikov tied it 2-2 at 4:16 of the third from low in the left-circle off a spinning cross-ice pass by Nikita Kucherov.
Islanders 5, Devils 2: Noah Dobson, Anthony Beauvillier and Aatu Raty each had a goal and an assist for the New York Islanders in a 5-2 win against the New Jersey Devils at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Mathew Barzal and Ross Johnston scored for the Islanders. Semyon Varlamov made 25 saves.
Ryan Graves and Graeme Clarke scored for the Devils. Mackenzie Blackwood made 21 saves.
Graves gave New Jersey a 1-0 lead at 8:13 of the first period.
Barzal, who
agreed to an eight-year contract
with New York on Tuesday, tied it 1-1 at 16:38, and Dobson made it 2-1 at 18:31.
Clarke tied it 2-2 with a power-play goal at 8:50 of the second period.
Johnston put New York back in front at 14:48 to make it 3-2.
Beauvillier made it 4-2 at 2:18 of the third period, and Raty scored at 9:23 for the 5-2 final.

Blue Jackets 7, Blues 0:Daniil Tarasov made 24 saves, and Andrew Peeke had four assists for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 7-0 win against the St. Louis Blues at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
Zach Werenski, Yegor Chinakhov, Jakub Voracek and Justin Danforth each had a goal and an assist for Columbus.
Thomas Greiss allowed seven goals on 31 shots in 49:21 for St. Louis. Joel Hofer made two saves in relief.
The Blue Jackets scored three goals in the first period to take a 3-0 lead.
Patrik Laine poked in a loose puck at 1:03 to make it 1-0, Chinakhov scored his fifth goal of the preseason for a 2-0 lead at 12:03, and Jack Roslovic scored short-handed at 13:56 to make it 3-0.
Werenski scored off a pass from Johnny Gaudreau to make it 4-0 at 5:30 of the second period, and Voracek extended it to 5-0 at 12:33.
Cole Sillinger scored playing 6-on-5 on a delayed penalty 6:00 into the third period to push the lead to 6-0 before Danforth made it 7-0 at 9:21.
Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson (lower body) sat out for precautionary reasons.
The game started 30 minutes late because of travel issues for the Blues.
Wild 4, Blackhawks 1:The Minnesota Wild scored goals 13 seconds apart in a 4-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Marco Rossi
, Mats Zuccarello and Sam Steel each had a goal and an assist for the Wild. Filip Gustavsson made 25 saves.
Jack Johnson scored, and Alex Stalock made 19 saves for the Blackhawks, who were 0-for-6 on the power play.
Rossi put Minnesota ahead 1-0 at 10:39 of the first period with a one-timer after Zuccarello fed him from behind the net. Frederick Gaudreau then made it 2-0 at 10:52 when he converted a rebound on the rush.
Johnson pulled Chicago to within 2-1 at 14:19 of the second period when his shot from the left point went in off the right post.
Zuccarello made it 3-1 at 17:01 after he took a pass from Kirill Kaprizov and skated in alone on Stalock.
Steel pushed the lead to 4-1 at 6:16 of the third period with a tap-in at the left post after starting the sequence with a takeaway in the offensive zone.

Golden Knights 6, Kings 4: Reilly Smith scored twice and had an assist for the Vegas Golden Knights in a 6-4 win against the Los Angeles Kings at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.
Brayden McNabb and Chandler Stephenson each had a goal and an assist, and Jack Eichel and Mark Stone each had two assists for the Golden Knights. Logan Thompson made 14 saves.
Sean Durzi had a goal and two assists for the Kings, and Cal Petersen made 22 saves.
Kevin Fiala gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead with his second goal of the preseason at 1:52 of the first period, and Gabriel Vilardi made it 2-0 at 6:09.
Smith cut it to 2-1 at 16:36, and McNabb tied it 2-2 at 5:14 of the second period.
Stephenson gave Vegas a 3-2 lead at 17:43.
Trevor Moore cut it to 4-3 with a power-play goal at 2:21 of the third period, but Smith responded on the man-advantage for his second goal of the game at 8:37 to make it 5-3.
Durzi scored a power-play goal at 15:51 to make it 5-4, but Alex Pietrangelo responded for the Golden Knights at 18:52 for the 6-4 final.
