Six of the eight Metropolitan Division teams have made it into the NHL.com Super 16 this week, giving the division the most representation in the weekly power rankings.
The Washington Capitals and New York Rangers received enough points to get back into the Super 16 after dropping out last week. The Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins all maintained their place in the rankings.

The Islanders, winners of four straight, made the biggest leap of teams that were ranked last week, moving four spots to No. 7. The Capitals got back in at No. 11 and the Rangers re-emerged at No. 14.
The Tampa Bay Lightning, one of two teams from the Atlantic Division to make the rankings, maintained their hold on the No. 1 spot for the seventh consecutive week. It's their third straight week as the unanimous No. 1.
The Central and Pacific divisions each has four teams ranked this week.
To create the power rankings, each of the participating staff members puts together his or her version of what they think the Super 16 should look like. Those are submitted and a point total is assigned to each.
The team picked first is given 16 points, second gets 15, third gets 14 and so on down to No. 16, which gets one point.
Check out how the rankings came together once the math was finished this week, and stay for the information about each team:
