Sabres rise after Hutton's back-to-back shutouts; Sharks rebound from cold start; more season-long trends

FANTASY TEAM POWER RANKINGS FOR 2019-20

Fantasy owners should use these rankings as a basis for player/team evaluation in waiver-wire adds, drops and DFS streaming options. Factors taken into account include positional depth, power-play, lineup and injury trends, team security and overall upside for the rest of the 2019-20 season in standard leagues.

NOTE: Center John Tavares (broken finger) is expected to miss two weeks and will be replaced by forward Alexander Kerfoot on the second line and by William Nylander on the top power-play unit.

NOTE: Goalie Carter Hutton was the biggest riser in NHL.com's top 25 goalie rankings after five-straight wins, including back-to-back shutouts against the Dallas Stars and Los Angeles Kings.

NOTE: Goalie Martin Jones has won back-to-back games with at least a .947 save percentage in each appearance. Left wing Evander Kane was among the biggest risers in NHL.com's top 200 rankings after a three-goal performance against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday.

NOTE: Fantasy owners should give defenseman John Klingberg, who has one assist and is a minus-6 through eight games more time to return to his productive form. Left wing Jamie Benn is also off to a slow start, but could be viewed as a buy-low candidate in season-long formats.

NOTE: Right wing Travis Konecny has seven points (three goals, four assists) in five games and is a must-roster skater in DFS contests.

NOTE: Goalie Thatcher Demko is a sneaky waiver-wire addition with two wins and a .938 save percentage through two games.

NOTE: Center Nick Schmaltz has seven points (three goals, four assists) in six games and is entering must-own territory in all league formats.
