Here are the Stanley Cup Playoffs clinching scenarios for April 9:

 
Eastern Conference

The Toronto Maple Leafs will clinch the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic Division if they get at least one point against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In this scenario, the resulting playoff matchups will be:

(A2) Ottawa vs. (A3) Toronto

(M1) Washington vs. (WC2) Boston

 

The Boston Bruins (idle) will clinch the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic Division if the Maple Leafs lose to the Blue Jackets in regulation.

In this scenario, the resulting playoff matchups will be:

(A2) Ottawa vs. (A3) Boston

(M1) Washington (WC2) Toronto

 

Western Conference

The Anaheim Ducks will clinch the Pacific Division title if they get at least one point against the Los Angeles Kings OR if the Edmonton Oilers lose to the Vancouver Canucks in any fashion.

In this scenario, the resulting playoff matchups will be:

(P1) Anaheim vs. (WC1) Calgary

(P2) Edmonton vs. (P3) San Jose

 

The Edmonton Oilers will clinch the Pacific Division title if they defeat the Canucks in any fashion AND the Ducks lose to the Kings in regulation.

In this scenario, the resulting playoff matchups will be:

(P1) Edmonton vs. (WC1) Calgary

(P2) Anaheim vs. (P3) San Jose

If the Ducks and Oilers end the season tied at 103 points and 42 ROW (Ducks regulation loss, Oilers shootout win), the Oilers claim the tiebreaker, having won the season series against the Ducks, 6 points to 4.
