The NHL salary arbitration period concluded Saturday when defenseman
Travis Sanheim
signed a two-year, $9.35 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, avoiding an arbitration hearing scheduled for Aug. 26.

His contract has an average annual value of $4.675 million
Sanheim was the last remaining player among the 19 who had a hearing scheduled; each of them agreed to a contract before his hearing date. A player could have signed a contract with his team any time before his hearing.

Sanheim and Minnesota Wild forward
Kevin Fiala
each had a team-elected hearing scheduled, and 17 other players filed for arbitration, according to the NHL Players' Association.
Forward Zach Sanford agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the St. Louis Blues on Aug. 4. Defenseman Victor Mete agreed to a one-year, $1.2 million contract with the Ottawa Senators later that day, and goalie
Adin Hill
agreed to a two-year contract with the San Jose Sharks.

Dante Fabbro
signed a two-year, $4.8 million contract ($2.4 million average annual value) with the Nashville Predators on Aug. 5, and forward
Zach Aston-Reese
signed a one-year, $1.725 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins later that day.
Defenseman Adam Pelech agreed to an eight-year contract with the New York Islanders on Aug. 6. Financial terms were not disclosed. Goalie
Michael McNiven
agreed to a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 at the NHL level with the Montreal Canadiens, and defenseman Vince Dunn agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract ($4 million AAV) with the Seattle Kraken later that day.
Forward Ross Colton signed a two-year, $2.25 million contract ($1.125 million AAV) with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Aug. 9. Forward Jakub Vrana agreed to a three-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings on Aug. 10. Financial terms were not disclosed.

signed a four-year, $23.5 million contract ($5.875 million AAV) with the Winnipeg Jets on Aug. 11. Forward Andrew Copp signed a one-year, $3.64 million contract with the Jets on Aug. 12.

Jason Dickinson
signed a three-year contract with an average annual value of $2.65 million with the Vancouver Canucks on Aug. 14.
Forward Adam Erne agreed to a two-year contract with the Red Wings on Aug. 15.
Fiala signed a one-year, $5.1 million contract with the Wild on Aug. 16. That same day, goalie Juuse Saros signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the Predators ($5 million AAV). Defenseman Dennis Gilbert also signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche that day; financial terms were not disclosed.

Nikita Zadorov
signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract with the Calgary Flames on Aug. 20. The 26-year-old was acquired in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks for a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft on July 28.
Last offseason, 26 restricted free agents filed for arbitration. One player had his salary determined by an arbitrator (Tyler Bertuzzi, Red Wings forward). The other 25 each came to an agreement before his scheduled hearing.
