NHL Network presents: Game 3 2011 ECQF: Canadiens vs. Bruins

NHL.com @NHL
All summer long, NHL Network will be replaying the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs -- from every jaw-dropping goal to every highlight-reel save to every crushing defeat.

Each game of the postseason -- spanning the more than two-month period from the opening round to Boston's Game 7 clincher of the Stanley Cup Final -- will be shown on the Network throughout the offseason.

Fans can tune in at 8 p.m. ET nightly for a different game -- and different chance to re-live history. A complete program schedule can be found on NHLNetwork.com.

After opening the series with back-to-back home losses, the Bruins took care of business early in Game 3, ensuring they would avoid the dreaded 3-0 deficit. David Krejci, Nathan Horton and Rich Peverley staked the Bruins to an early 3-0 lead, the last goal coming on a bad misplay by Carey Price from behind the Montreal net.

From there, the Canadiens were able to slip two questionable shots past Tim Thomas, cutting the Boston lead to just a single goal. But Chris Kelly’s empty-net goal sealed the Boston win and assured the Bruins of at least one more home playoff game. After missing Game 2 with an illness, Bruins captain Zdeno Chara returned to the lineup to stabilize Boston’s defense, earning an assist and logging a team-leading 26:20 of ice time.
