Fans on both sides of the USA/Canada border will have a chance to get their hockey fix on NHL Network this weekend.
Viewers in the United States can tune in Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET to watch the Chicago Blackhawks
make a rare visit to Tampa Bay. The Hawks, 3-2 shootout winners Thursday in Florida, again look like the team that won the Stanley Cup in 2010, while the Lightning have had their ups and downs as they try to build on last spring's surprising run to the Eastern Conference Finals.
On Saturday, American viewers will get a chance to watch some Original Six hockey when the Montreal Canadiens
visit the New York Rangers
at 7 p.m. ET. The Canadiens have bounced back after a bad start, while the Rangers are playing the fourth game of a six-game homestand that followed a season-opening seven-game road trip. Prior to the game, at 6:30 p.m. ET, catch up on all the hockey news and highlights on Hockey Tonight
hosted by Ron MacLean along with Kelly Hrudey
and Mike Milbury
Canadian fans, meanwhile, can tune in at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday to see the Dallas Stars
visit the Carolina Hurricanes
. The Stars have been one of the surprises of the early season using a stingy defense and the stellar goaltending of Kari Lehtonen
to bull their way toward the top of the Western Conference standings.
