NHL Network doubleheader highlights hectic Saturday @NHLdotcom
The NHL Network will offer viewers a day-night doubleheader as part of the League's 11-game Saturday schedule.

The action begins at 1 p.m. ET, when the Boston Bruins go for their third straight victory as they host the Washington Capitals. Both teams are coming off home wins on Thursday -- Boston beat Buffalo 3-1 while Washington edged Tampa Bay 3-2 in OT.

At 3 p.m., Colorado is back home after a 4-2 loss to Anaheim on Thursday for a game against Edmonton.

The second half of the Network doubleheader begins at 7 p.m. ET, when the Philadelphia Flyers, coming off a 5-0 win against Florida on Thursday, visit the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs -- a game that can also be seen in Canada on CBC. The Leafs have had a couple of days off after blowing a 2-0 lead and losing 3-2 in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Three other games also start at 7: The Devils visit the Islanders in a rematch of New Jersey's 5-1 win in Newark on Thursday. Buffalo visits Ottawa, a 4-1 winner against the Rangers on Thursday, in a game that can be seen in Canada on RDS and regionally on CBC, and Tampa Bay begins a seven-game homestand by hosting Carolina.

Four more games get under way at 8 p.m. ET. St. Louis hosts Columbus in the opener of a home-and-home series, Detroit visits Nashville, Anaheim travels to Dallas -- where the Stars will try to extend the 8-0-1 run that has carried them into first place in the Pacific Division -- and Phoenix hosts San Jose in a battle of teams coming off shootout losses on Thursday.

In the final game of the night, Montreal concludes a road trip with a stop in Vancouver, a game that can be seen in Canada as the second half of CBC's "Hockey Night in Canada" doubleheader as well as on RDS. Both teams won Thursday -- Montreal beat the Oilers 5-3 in Edmonton, while the Canucks edged Winnipeg 3-2.
