The Predators lead the NHL with a combined 77 points from their defensemen, with the Toronto Maple Leafs (74), Tampa Bay Lightning (73), Los Angeles Kings (73) and New York Islanders (72) rounding out the top five.
The Predators (19-7-4) have 42 points, two behind the St. Louis Blues for first place in the Central Division. They are 9-1-2 in their past 12 games and 14-2-2 in their past 18 games, dating back to Nov. 3.
