The Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs revealed their jerseys for the
2022 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic
on Thursday.

They will play the outdoor game March 13 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario, home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
The Sabres' cream jerseys feature the charging buffalo crest with two swords in a blue circle. There is a gold charging buffalo with the word "Sabres" in royal blue on the left shoulder and two royal blue and gold stripes on each sleeve.
The jersey has the same blue and gold stripes under the crest, and multiple stripes on the socks all the way up to the knees, to pay homage to Buffalo's uniforms worn during its first 25 seasons in the NHL. The pants are royal blue with a gold stripe on each side, the gloves are royal blue, and player names and numbers are royal blue.
The Buffalo jerseys are made with recycled materials and at least 60 percent recycled content, and fans can preorder them

The Maple Leafs jerseys pay homage to the first ones they wore, as the Toronto Arenas from 1917-19. A block white "T" is on the chest with "Arenas" surrounding it in a navy silhouette. The team motto "Honour, Pride, Courage" is on the inside collar.
The Arenas jerseys have been worn one time since 1919, when the Maple Leafs played the Carolina Hurricanes on Dec. 19, 2017, marking 100 years since the opening of the inaugural NHL season. The Arenas lost 10-9 to the Montreal Wanderers on Dec. 19, 1917.
