Washington, D.C. - Today, The National Hockey League (NHL®) and HeadCount announced the launch of their official "Good To Vote" partnership to encourage hockey fans nationwide to check their voter registration status and get out to vote this fall. Through October 10th, fans can check their registration status online at
HeadCount.org/NHL
and be entered into a random drawing to receive four premium tickets to the 2023 Discover NHL Winter Classic® in Boston, along with hotel, airfare, signed NHL jerseys, and merchandise packages.

HeadCount is a nonpartisan, nonprofit voter registration organization that harnesses the power of music, culture, and digital media to encourage people to participate in democracy. Since its founding in 2004, the organization has helped over one million Americans register to vote, largely through partnerships with musicians such as Ariana Grande, Dave Matthews Band, Billie Eilish, and Beyonce.
The collaboration with the NHL presents a unique opportunity for HeadCount to reach a new audience - the league's famously dedicated fanbase - and help get them to the polls for the upcoming midterm elections.
"The National Hockey League is proud to partner with HeadCount and the "Good to Vote" platform as we collectively pioneer innovative ways to make non-partisan civic engagement and democratic participation more accessible to hockey fans across the United States," said Kim Davis, NHL Senior Executive Vice President of Social Impact, Growth Initiatives, and Legislative Affairs. "This partnership further strengthens our commitment to build informed, engaged, and vibrant communities for today and generations to come."
HeadCount first joined forces with the NHL earlier this year at the NHL Fan Fair™ and NHL All-Star® in Las Vegas to give attendees a convenient way to register to vote. The organization then announced its partnership with the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, and WNBA's Washington Mystics to register voters at all their 2022 and 2023 home games through an agreement with Monumental Sports.
"It's incredible to be partnering again with the NHL to promote civic engagement and inspire hockey fans nationwide to vote," said HeadCount Co-Founder and Executive Director Andy Bernstein. "From our previous sports partnerships, including past NHL events, we know that these fans are incredibly engaged and motivated. We're grateful for the opportunity to reach even more people and encourage this community to have an impact this election season."
