NHL featured in TLC's 'American Chopper' @NHLdotcom
NEW YORK -- The season-premiere episode of TLC's popular series American Chopper will feature a custom motorcycle commissioned by the National Hockey League. Airing on Thursday, April 9, at 9 PM (ET/PT), the episode details the creation of the chopper from the planning stages with NHL Legend Rod Gilbert to its delivery to the NHL Powered By Reebok store during the 2008-09 season launch event.

The featured chopper, which pays homage to the NHL's "Original Six"™ teams, currently is on display inside the NHL Powered By Reebok store in New York City and will be auctioned at the start of the 2009-10 NHL regular season to benefit Hockey Fights Cancer™.

Still riding strong in its sixth season, American Chopper follows the action at Orange County Choppers (OCC), the world-famous motorcycle family business run by Paul Teutul Sr. and his fiery sons, Paul Jr. and Mikey.  Each episode of American Chopper captures the day-to-day drama inside one of the world's leading custom bike shops as the family battles impossible deadlines to build some of the most aggressive, creative choppers around.
